planet?
In this short 9-minute video, educator Aaron Wissner explores the concept of
sustainability, including a look at Easter Island (Rapa Nui), Hispaniola (Haiti
& the Dominican Republic) and Tikopia (of the Solomon Islands).
Tikopia was a model for sustainability. For over 3,000 years, it's people
maintained a constant, level population, and managed to avoid overshoot and
collapse.
Drawing on Jared Diamond's groundbreaking book "Collapse: How Societies Choose
to Fail or Succeed", Aaron Wissner takes sustainability to the personal level.
